Anonymous asked: WIth the increased competition amongst telcos, some very "dodgy" offers are being advertised. For example, company X advertised "Unlimited Broadband" and then, in very fine almost unreadable print, says that you will be shaped if you go over 15Gb. Now, my understanding is that the word "unlimited" means "without let or hinderance". They claim it's unlimited CONNECTION TIME when pressed, but any reasonable person would interpret it to mean unlimited bandwidth at the speed you contract for. Thoughts ??

That does sound pretty dodgy to me, but as I’m not a consumer protection lawyer I don’t know if there is a legal problem there or not.
