knewt asked: I used to work in a cafe just behind the Staatsoper (Opera house) in Vienna. I hope it was our coffee you drank. Have you seen The Third Man (staring Orson Welles)? It has a scene in that cafe in the post-war divided Vienna. Are you surprised that Brisbane has the most expensive cuppa and Sydney the cheapest?
It may well have been that cafe. How long were you in Vienna for? And no I’ve never seen The Third Man, but I really should see it sometime.
And is that right about the price of coffee in Brisbane and Sydney? I did not know that. I know we have some pretty good coffee in Brisbane but I didn’t realise we were paying more for it.
