Anonymous asked: I've noticed that in lectures this year and those of prior years there are changes in the authorities used for the same legal points here and there. Is this one of those little 'tells' that a marker uses to see if students are relying on their own notes or old notes?
I don’t think a lecturer would do that to deliberately identify who is using old notes instead of using their own but there would be times where it would make it obvious to the lecturer that the student is using old notes. The authorities given would only change because the lecturer feels that a different authority is more on point or more helpful to the student, or because there has been a more recent decision.
