Anonymous asked: Sometimes in exams is it ok to pretty much go "the laws of any country could apply but since we've been taught the Queensland/ Australian Law, I'm going to apply that" eg a celebrity in a defamation case.

Or when they simply do not specify where things happen.

If the exam question doesn’t specify the jurisdiction, I think it is safe to assume that you should apply the law you have been taught, either Queensland or Australian law.
